four years before the first Indy 500.
The Indianapolis 500 ran its inaugural race in 1911. Four years prior, a group of Indianapolis businessmen got together to found only the second advertising club in the United States. Not only did AAF Indianapolis establish the Better Business Bureau of the United States, we wrote the first national standards for advertising ethics.
Today, we continue to champion our dynamic and ever-changing industry. Our biggest event of the year is the ADDY awards, which recognizes creative excellence for the 13th largest city in the United States. But we also have numerous networking events that help connect, educate and engage a new generation of advertising, design and marketing professionals.
AAF Indianapolis is the original and leading advertising organization in the Midwest. And we look forward to leading the way for many years to come.
