Job Title: Direct Response Media Buyer
General Responsibilities:
Executes media strategies to obtain the best possible purchase of media, which results in the lowest cost per lead for direct response clients.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Contact media reps to obtain all necessary information on the availability and cost of media for designated markets.
- Cost out media using research tools including historical market information and demographic ratings data.
- Negotiate effectively with media reps to obtain the desired media /merchandising at the lowest possible cost. Negotiate make-goods in the best interest of the client and agency.
- Keep client, account personnel and others fully and promptly informed of all buying activities.
- Monitor schedules along with creative rotation and implement changes to take advantage of effective programming/dayparts.
- Coordinate special projects such as air checks, promotions and competitive analyses.
- Assist in all other activities as required.
Education requirement: College graduate
Experience required: Entry level position
