Job Title: Direct Response Media Buyer 


General Responsibilities:

 Executes media strategies to obtain the best possible purchase of media, which results in the lowest cost per lead for direct response clients.


Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Contact media reps to obtain all necessary information on the availability and cost of media for designated markets.
  2. Cost out media using research tools including historical market information and demographic ratings data.
  3. Negotiate effectively with media reps to obtain the desired media /merchandising at the lowest possible cost.  Negotiate make-goods in the best interest of the client and agency.
  4. Keep client, account personnel and others fully and promptly informed of all buying activities. 
  5. Monitor schedules along with creative rotation and implement changes to take advantage of effective programming/dayparts.
  6. Coordinate special projects such as air checks, promotions and competitive analyses.
  7. Assist in all other activities as required.


Education requirement: College graduate


Experience required: Entry level position
